Pioneering Innovations.

As the owner and CEO of Sky-Side “Building Envelope and Coatings,” Elias Alvarez introduced a range of ground-breaking innovations:

1. BEAS (Building Envelope Assessment System): BEAS has revolutionized the inspection of high-rise towers, allowing engineers to assess buildings up to 40 stories high, even in winds of up to 8 km/h. This innovative equipment enables engineers to visualize building envelope issues from both ground level and rooftop perspectives.

2. RSS (Remote Supervision System): Engineers can now remotely supervise and direct work in inaccessible locations, improving efficiency and safety.

3. RIS (Remote Injection System): This equipment allows for the remote repair of leaks and cracks inside ducting systems, particularly those related to water condensation in dryer vents.

4. FFGC (From Floor Level Gutter Cleaner): An equipment that simplifies gutter cleaning by enabling it to be done from the safety of ground level.

5. EHA Rover: This proprietary remote-controlled camera/truck is designed for inspecting ducts, crawl spaces, or attics, enhancing the efficiency of inspections.

In addition to these ground-breaking tools and systems, Elias has also pioneered various methods for investigating and analyzing building envelopes. His contributions include techniques such as “wall core sampling,” “localized flooding system,” “high-rise localized water testing,” and the “walking crack chaser.”
